St. John's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall

All units are invited to participate in an Arrow of Light Recognition Night on Thursday, January 9, 2014 7:00 p.m., beginning at and held at St. John's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. St. John's Lutheran Church is located at 200 West Innes St. in downtown Salisbury. This event, coordinated by Jody McManus and Dave Roof, seeks to recognize the Cub Scouts and Webelos in our district who have reached the pinnacle of Cub Scouting advancement, the Arrow of Light award, during the previous year.
The Arrow of Light Award requires the Scout to have earned the Webelos Scout badge and eight activity badges. In addition to the skill and activity requirements of the preceding ranks, the Arrow of Light requires Scouts to learn the Scout Promise and Scout Law, and visit one meeting and one activity of a Boy Scout troop, in preparation for advancing to the Boy Scouts. Earning the Arrow of Light will help earn many of the requirements for the lower ranks of the Boy Scouts. The Arrow of Light award is the only Cub Scout award that can be worn on a Boy Scout uniform.
Come join us as we, as a Cub Scouting family, celebrate our boys' accomplishment with a slice of cake, maybe even another surprise in store! Dress in your Field (Class A) Uniform, bring your parents, and plenty of film to capture this special moment! There will be an activity fee of $5.00 per family to cover event costs, payable to "Pack 401." Checks may be remitted to the following address:605 Candlewick Dr. Salisbury, 28147.
Although the registration cutoff was December 30, 2013, leaders who contact Dave or Jody within the next two days would still be able to register their boys to participate. If you have any questions, please contact Dave ( or Jody (
